I'll find any excuse to post photos of Jonathan Rhys Meyers. So here's to the start of his newest film, August Rush.
Production has begun in New York on 'August Rush', the new film starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, which is directed by Irish director Kirsten Sheridan.Rhys Meyers is joined in the film by 'Finding Neverland' star Freddie Highmore, 'Felicity' star Keri Russell, Robin Williams and 'Hustle & Flow' star Terrence Howard.
The musical drama tells the story of a young Irish guitarist (Rhys Meyers) and young cellist (Russell) who spend one night together in New York and are then separated. That night results in a son, August Rush (Highmore), who embarks on a musical adventure to reunite with his parents.

Mmmmm, can you say Brokeback Goldmine? He shared some very intimate moments with Ewan Mcgregor in Velvet Goldmine. BTW, what's the abdominal scar from? Not that apparent in the 1st photo, but it looks really scary in other photos I've seen.

That scar is from a surgery he had about a year ago, for an ulcer.

just goes to show that there's a type for anybody. Anorexic dwarves (be they this kid or the Olsen twins just make me scratch my head). And he was AWFUL in Match Point. Not the character...him.
