#9 is right on the money. When Sheen and Richards married, I hoped, but had a feeling back then that it was too good to be true. He claimed he made a lot of changes because of her. Not good. A PLAYER, FREAK or INTERNET GEEK is not going to make changes for a woman. All you ladies who meet these no-good rascals had better listen up. Don't believe the lies when he tells you that you have changed his life. I know you want the pat on the back for rescuing him, but it's a lie.

If you want to make a go with a man like that because you think he'll change, don't marry him for a long time. If he hasn't experienced some kind of spiritual rebirth (and even those you have to watch with eagle eyes), it is going to take him years to get that mess out of his system if he is serious. It is his job to fix himself, not yours.

I believe people can go so far into that realm until they feel completely dirty. There is nothing they haven't seen or done. All innocence is lost. Sheen is charming, but he has too many skeletons in his closet. And now he is getting older and probably going through a mid-life crisis, so it can get worse.

Denise does not seem like a crackpot to me. She adored Sheen in the beginning. She unfortunately pushed his past into the background when they married, and that wasn't smart. But she seems completely level-headed and unwilling to put up with his crap. She also comes from a good family. I don't believe these are false charges. What woman wants the world to know she was married to this type of man? She is trying to do the best thing for her little girls. When I see a woman step up to the plate to protect her kids from a crazy man, I say, "Bravo!"

good grief. they're both idiots. but to believe her claims at face value is absurd. they're in the middle of a custody-battle... doesn't that undermine her credibility just a little bit? charlie sheen's a complete fuck-bag, but don't some of these claims seem just a little suspicious, particularly the ones that make him out to be a pedophile father? whatever... the real issue here is why they weren't sterilized the moment they decided to begin humping one another.

I spent four years with a man who ended up being addicted to cocaine. I had no idea why he had suddenly become paranoid, angry, accusatory, threatening, etc. I had a child with him, and was in love with him. I wanted to believe he was going to stop "this time." What was described in all seventeen pages of the paperwork filed in Los Angeles sounded only TOO familiar. He's an addict. He lives like an addict. He reacts like an addict. The best thing she can do is exactly what she IS doing. People can call her whatever they like, it will never compare to what she had to deal with on a daily basis in that environment. Any one who has ever been in an abusive relationship, with or without addiction, should be able to read her words and remember exactly what it felt like, and why he/she left. Hasn't anyone noticed that his own family has tried, unsuccessfully, for years to intervene and help him? Has anyone noticed that not ONE of his family members has said anything regarding her allegations, against her or in support of him? You cannot successfully defend an addict. Sadly, the drugs can and do cause people to act exactly as her statement alleges. It's sad. I hope he does truly get help, for the sake of his future relationship with his daughters. This is the ugly side of drugs, people.

Denise did everything and MORE than most women would have done. She even organized an intervention to convince Charlie to get help which he did agree to.

Charlie's addictions - drugs, gambling, prostitutes are serious problems and he's already admitted to two out of three of them so, why is it Denise is getting attacked. No wonder women suffering abuse keep quiet all too often! And these allegations are not just 'rumor'. Denise has evidence in the way of taped conversations and witnesses, internet material, etc.

Read her deposition or whatever it's called. It sounds like she has witnesses to some of this shit. If he threatened to kill her, she'd better make a record of it... it could be the only thing that saves her life. And if she makes a record of it, she can't just say "oh yeah, he threatened to kill me," she needs to make her case. She told all those ugly things about him because she needed to make her case!
