In an interview with CNN's Larry King, Star Jones Reynolds recently admitted that her dramatic weight loss could be attributed to a "medical intervention," more specifically, "a laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass."
For someone so open and vocal about every other detail of her life, it seems strange that it took her this long to finally admit what everyone was already assuming.
Although, personally, I'm always a fan of the "I just lost my baby fat" excuse.

stupid bitch...we knew this all along. I hate it when celebrities deny the obvious. Like when nicole kidman and keith urban denied they where dating then BOOM they got married. they need to lighten up

I heard she didn't fess up to it because she didin't want to become a spokerperson for gastric bypass a la Al Roker and Carnie Wilson. If that's the reason I can see where she's coming from expecially since a lot of people see it as the "easy way out" and she would have received more ridicule than praise for realizing her situation and doing something to stop it.
