Shakira's Up For a Butt-Load of VMA's

While "Hips Don't Lie" may be a catchy tune, the video is certainly nothing to write home about. Video of the Year? Come on. Although, do the VMA's really mean anything?
Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have seven apiece, Madonna (oddly described by the MTV story as "majestic Madonna") and Panic! At the Disco collect five and Christina Aguilera has four.Video of the year nominees: Shakira's Hips Don't Lie, RHCP's Dani California, Madonna's Hung Up, Panic's I Write Sins Not Tragedies, Christina's Ain't No Other Man. (Other categories listed within the above link.)
New wrinkle this year: Fans can vote in all categories, instead of just Viewer's Choice. Previously, voting in other categories was restricted to industry professionals.
The actual show airs live from Radio City Music Hall in New York on MTV Aug. 31.

My dears.... please be more open minded and have a little taste. Shakira's video is great, the colors, the images, the music. I you dont have better tastes, just shut up and dont give us your lame personal thoughts.

Ohh, and another thing, she wasn't No.1 video for months and was considered by yahoo music as the most download video for nothing.
