Congratulations to Al Gore for winning the Nobel Peace Prize! Damn, that's a big accomplishment. This is not the same thing as winning "Best Lesbian Kiss" at the MTV Movie Awards. This is important! Because of....peace...and all that...stuff.
Al Gore, the former U.S. vice president and presidential candidate who reinvented himself as an environmentalist, won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for his efforts to fight global warming.Gore shares the prize with the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
"I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize," Gore said in an e-mailed statement. "We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."
Al gets a gold medal, a diploma and splits around 1.7 million with the UN's Intergovermental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC). I hope they throw a major kegger. I like Al Gore. He seemed very stiff as the Veep but now he seems like he might drink while he figures out how to stop our planet from imploding. Plus, he ignored Lindsay Lohan's attempts to contact him drunkenly on her Blackberry. I like that in an enviromental crusader.

That's right. So-called "man-made global warming" is a hoax in my very educated and knowledgeable opinion. You ask what I base this on?....I'm a geologist (an earth scientist for the layman such as yourself) and my work for the past 20 years has focused on climate change. Sure, temps might be a little higher these days, but to blame mankind is absurd and unfounded. There is not adequate data to back this hypothesis. Warming and cooling are a natural part of the earth's cycle. You can learn that in any Geology 101 course. Educate yourself about topics in science through science-based resources instead of allowing yourself to be indoctrinated by some politician.

Gore is a hypocrite.. just look at all the waste and pollutants HE causes flying around all over the place to flap his gums. And if he really wanted to make a difference, why not run for President? Wouldn't that be the ultimate way for him to get the message across.. is by actually doing something about it instead of just yapping about it? Damn! Now I know those prizes have ceased to mean anything. Al Gore is a ho and a fraud. I hate his fake attention-whore ass slightly more than I hate George Bush's chimp self. And that is an accomplishment, cuz I hate Bush lots. The real in-the-trenches folks who deserve this prize got robbed. Once again, celebrity wins. This would be like Angelina getting the prize over someone who spent years living and working for relief in Africa/Asia/South America. I am going to puke now.

If you had listened to his acceptance speech, he was very specific in sharing his views with the REAL scientists who aided him, but you know what, guys? SOMEONE is listening to him.
