Here's Al Gore being feted at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo. Kevin Spacey and Uma Thurman hosted, and there were performances by Melissa Etheridge, Annie Lennox, Alicia Keys, and a glam-looking Kylie Minogue. Where's Bono? Probably bitter that he didn't nab the prize this year. You know that's his fondest wish. He's so over the rock star thing. Al, of course, won for his climate change initiative. Anyone who doesn't think global warming is a situation is a straight-up dickhead, by the way. It was still 90 degrees out in October this year. And I live on the East Coast. You do the math. "It is time to make peace with the planet," Gore said at his acceptance speech. Amen, brotha. But does this mean I have to give up using my Aqua Net?

If Al Gore is so goddamned worried about carbon footprints, why does he continue using twenty times the average household power at his estate in Tennessee? Why does he continue flying around the world in filth-belching private aircraft? Why doesn't this hypocritical asshole EVER practice what he preaches?

C'mon now... this is far from the "World is Flat" arguement. It's called cleaning up your own mess, and NO, giant global corporations and governments won't do it unless forced to. This is basic housekeeping, and from the sound of it, you don't like to clean up after yourself either.

Al Gore and his ilk are so concerned about the environment that they all fly on private jets to Bali to discuss the dire status of the earth.
Then, the Kennedy's won't allow wind power off the coast of Mass. b/c it will interfere with the views from their compounds. BTW, RFK Jr is a big environmentalist unless it is in his back yard.
Sorry, but "going green" has become a major money maker and there are a lot of scientists and such that make money off of the global warming cry to arms. I am all for respecting the planet, but I have a hard time tolerating these holier-than-thou blow hards.
If you are serious about being a good steward of the earth, look to Ed Begley Jr. or former leader of Green Peace Dr. Patrick Moore of CASEnergy Coalition for wisdom and guidance, not Al Gore and his happy Hollywood following.

Global warming IS a fact. So is global cooling. And the earth has warmed and cooled for its entire existence and will continue to do so. It's called "cyclical temperate cycles", and it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with man's impact on the planet. Gore's film is based on junk science, distortion of facts, and flat out lies. For example, his little graph showing that CO2 and temperature change are interdependent. This is true. But what he did NOT share is that CO2 rises as a result of increased temperature, not the other way around. It was estimated that this little conference is going to emit the same amount of "greenhouse gases" as 20,000 cars would in a years time. Wow, way to show concern about the sky falling... huh? Follow your idiot Gore, and may your chains rest lightly upon you. You will deserve exactly what you get.
