Jennifer Garner played hostess for the "I Have a Dream"® Foundation Gospel Brunch in Los Angeles this past weekend, where Hill Harper, Sara Ramirez and James Berk were honored with the Dream Keeper Award. According to the Executive Director for the Foundation in Los Angeles, they were being recognized for "their remarkable efforts on behalf of childrens education."
Now that you know what it was about, let's chat a bit about the red carpet shall we? I'm pretty sure that Jennifer Garner didn't realize she would be standing against such a light background, so she couldn't have known that she'd end up looking so washed out in her light-colored dress, but I have to say that I do love the cut of it--it's very cute. I just wish it were green or something. Gabrielle Union looks predictably pretty, in the white and chocolate brown.
The brunch sounds like it was pretty fun. It was held at the Sunset Strip House of Blues and featured a Southern-style buffet and gospel music. I know it's not that kind of "I Have a Dream" dream, but it would have been nice to have a bunch of people to chat about my dream the other night of being trapped on a cruise ship jail only to be relieved when I realized that the bars would keep OUT the zombies on board.
