Tobey Maguire Is A Good Dad And A Serious Vegan

Here's another fabulous Hollywood dad -- Tobey Maguire with daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 16 months. The Maguire family went for a day of shopping at Fred Segal yesterday, and Tobey even helped change Ruby's diaper in the store's parking lot.
Tobey also made headlines this past week, as the inspiration for Natalie Portman's recent change to a vegan diet. It seems that Tobey takes his vegan lifestyle very seriously, only changing when he has to bulk up for a role and even going to the point of banning all leather from his house.
One source said, "I've seen women take off their shoes, belts, and even leave their $4,000 bags at the door. Tobey says the smell of leather makes him sick - he never has it around him."

Can you actually see leather seats? I can't see anything via these photos.
And maybe he doesn't believe in supporting current mass production farming practices. Maybe he's against the torture and abuse of animals, and pumping them so full of chemicals that our children are becoming sick and immune to antibiotics. Maybe that's his fight. Maybe he feels it's the very least he can do. Big deal! Give the guy credit for doing SOMETHING, which is more than most.

Only changing when he has to bulk up for a role? You can be vegan and a successful athlete or bodybuilder.
