Britney Spears appeared on How I Met Your Mother last night, and got some good reviews. She played a lovelorn receptionist with a thing for the Ted character, who looks like manga. Britney wowed the critics. Ok, she "surprised" the critics with comedic timing.
She looked beautiful and had screen presence," says Charna Halpern, artistic director of Chicago's Improv Olympic Comedy Club. "Even when she was behind the desk and they made her look kind of homely, she was adorable."
Charna (hot name) has trained comedians such as Tina Fey, so I guess she knows comedy. A couple of other randoms thought she had stage presence as well.
Her comedic timing "was good at some parts, especially in some of her reactions," says Dean Cudworth, director of the Idol Camp.
Ok, I have no idea who any of these people are. American Idol camp? But they were brave enough to go out on a limb for Britney, so I'll let it pass. Maybe a situation comedy is what Britney needs right now. She can have the adoration of a live audience, there's no need to lip synch, and she can live in her own interior universe. It's almost perfect if Starbucks can cater.

I've always enjoyed her on Saturday Night Live. She's always done well. I think she's a good comedian. I'm glad she did well on this show. Maybe she can get another SNL gig.

I watched the epsiode, as I like this show, and I must say she did great. She made me giggle a few times. I think they could have found a friggen better hair piece for her though, it looked a little rough at the beginning of the episode.

.... wait the Ted character mentioned is the Ted character on the show and manga is short for Magnun P.I.... Ted looks like a young Mangum P.I. whatch the clip and my Brit Brit, states taht times like a million.....

"Manga" are Japanese comic books/graphic novels. The word literally means "whimsical pictures" in Japanese.
