Wesley Snipes was sentenced to three years for his three misdemeanor counts that resulted from not filing tax returns. Back in February, Snipes was acquitted of tax fraud and conspiracy, but was convicted for his misdemeanor charges. His argument that his accountants had improperly advised him was enough for jurors to believe he was not guilty of the more serious felony charges.
However, the Blade actor received the maximum punishment for those crimes for which he was found guilty, according to prosecutors because Snipes "has been portrayed in the mainstream media as a 'victory' for Snipes. The troubling implication of such coverage for the millions of average citizens who are aware of this case is that the rich and famous Wesley Snipes has 'gotten away with it.' In the end the criminal conduct of Snipes must not be seen in such a light."
Maybe he should pretend to have ADD, refuse to eat and just generally mope around, so that he can cut down his sentence. That seems to work for some people
