Little Miley Cyrus has sparked something of a controversy, featured in the latest issue of Vanity Fair wearing nothing more than a bedsheet and sly grin. The photo, taken by photographer, Annie Leibovitz, is being published shortly after other photos of Miley have been circulated on the Internet snuggling with what appears to be her boyfriend.
However, there seems to be confusion as to how the photo came about. Miley is initially quoted by the write of the Vanity Fair for which the picture was taken as being happy with the image. Bruce Handy said the 15-year-old said, "I think it's really artsy. It wasn't in a skanky way." Additionally, Vanity Fair rep Beth Kseniak indicated that Miley's parents were present for the shoot and "everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley."
However, now Miley's singing a different tune. In a statement released yesterday, she said, "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

It's pretty clear that Billy Ray Pimp is grooming his property -er, daughter- to be the next incarnation of his old rompin' buddy Dolly Parton. The Vanity Fair pictures are perfectly pleasant. There is nothing unseemly about them at all. Furthermore her parents and/or minders were present at all times and were able to see the digital photos immediately. In fact her parents are actually pictured in several of the photos.
