Details about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's wedding keep arriving and we're just doing our best to keep up. First off, jeweler Jacob Arabo has clarified that Mariah's 17-carat ring (valued at $2.5 million) with pink and purple diamonds is not the same one that Nick gave to his ex-fiancee Selita Ebanks.
Also, even though no official confirmation has yet to be obtained, various inside sources keep sounding off on the relationship. The man who designed Mariah's impressive sparkler told People, "He loves her. That's all I know."
Mostly the reaction from friends and family has been of surprise, coupled with enthusiasm for the newlyweds. A source inside Mariah's inner circle summed it up best, "I'm shell shocked." They added, "As far as I know, they are happy together."
Another source talked about how the two met on the set of the music video for her single, "Bye Bye" in the Caribbean and bonded over similar values. "She's very into religion and Nick is very into religion. That's something they bonded on."
Also, the clergyman who officiated the nuptials confirmed that the two wed on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera. The two obtained a marriage license there, which Bishop Clifford Petty confirms.

Both may be celebrities but they do have the same wants and needs as everyday people. They should be given the opportunity to live their personal lives in pursuit of that happiness separate from their public life. It is a shame that most people want to see others fail and be unhappy. I think marriage can be great with the right person, but there is no way possible you can know someone in six weeks. I would expect this from Nick Cannon; but not Mariah, she's practically 40 years old! Gimme a break, I'm 36 and there is NO way I would even consider dating anyone that young, much less marry anyone that young, or that I've known under two months.
That's another divorce waiting to happen, and if they have any kids, it's the kids who will suffer! Mariah should've learned her lesson last time around.
