Ellen Page is probably hoping to avoid being typecast as the wise-cracking, deadpan youngster like the character she played in the Academy Award winning comedy Juno by taking on a period piece. She'll be starring in yet another iteration of Jane Eyre.
For the love of all that is holy, is it really necessary to remake this story yet AGAIN? If you look up "Jane Eyre" on IMDb, then you'll see that there have been twenty or so versions of this particular tale made into a movie or miniseries. It's ridiculous, but at the same time, the damn thing wins awards pretty much every time.

This one's gonna be different:
It takes place in a post-apocalyptic future world in which armies of English nanny-bots roam the Scottish countryside searching for isolated, melancholic males in order to feed off their loneliness which is an energy source for them. It will be titled "Jane Eyren-Man". Boffo!
