Long gone are the days when all she wanted to do was have some fun. Sheryl Crowe showed up to speak to Congress about breast cancer and throw her support behind a bill aimed at funding breast cancer resarch. Girlfriend was all business and said her piece about a bill that could authorize spending to research the environmental factors that might be causing the disease. Additionally, an attached bill is aimed at making health insurance companies pay for an at least 48-hour hospital stay after a patient has received a mastectomy.
The singer and breast cancer survivor told a House subcommittee on health, "I don't live in a political world and while this might seem like a political discussion, until you are the one in seven women diagnosed with breast cancer, you will never know how NOT political this is."

Huh? When you ask politicians to take other people's tax money and spend it this way rather than that way, and to use the Boys-in-Blue enforced laws of the state to make people do something that you want and maybe they do not want, then how the hell that NOT political? Crow really makes no sence.

When you go through breast cancer like her and the others or have a love one who died of it your goal ... to a finding a cure, finding the cause and learning about it becomes personal.
