Someone took the Speed Racer flop as an excuse to look all edgy and brooding. Having to work 24-7 in front of a green screen wearing an ascot and a goofy helmet must have made him pray for deliverance. Here's Emile Hirsch at the Nylon magazine party.
The event celebrated the magazine's third annual Music Issue. The issue "spotlights global trends in music and fashion from eight cultural hot spots, and connects all in-book content to the MySpace community." Make of that what you will. By the way, I saw Speed Racer and I think I'm the only person on the planet who thought it was totally rad. Then again, I really, really like the movie version of Clue.
And I totally thought Omarosa was one of my favorite actresses, Regina King, at first. I was like "did Regina get some work done and stretch her head out?" No, it's the viperish Omarosa. My apologies to Regina. No one else could have played Brenda on 227 like her. When she called the other girl "Mona Lisa" in a derogatory manner during the "did you make out with Calvin at the party" episode, I had one of my cultural touchstones given to me.
