Just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog. I know that sounds cheesy but in all honesty, I can't think of any witty fabulous way to say it. Besides, I have to support anyone who can shop like you.

From the looks of the pic of her I saw in the most recent People magazine, there is no doubt that she has anorexia, which is no surprise to me especially being the niece of one of the most prominent fashion designers and was probably always exposed to anorexic models. It's no wonder she is probably anorexic. Our beauty ideals for women are so f---ed up and the victims are getting younger and younger. Instead of making fun of her, why not show her some compassion, huh? As an anorexic myself and having spent over half my life in this incidious disease, I can truly identify with Allegra (if she truly IS anorexic). We need to be more educated about this disease instead of being such ignorant assholes and being so cruel. Allegra, you are in my thoughts and prayers. If you DO have body image issues and/or anorexia, PLEASE - seek help before it's too late.

YOU of all people should know that nothing you can say will help this kid out anyway. Leave that to her therapist. I'm sure her mom can shell out some dough and send her to a nice swanky treatment center if she really cared. Its in serious debt and they make like no money... I give props to Donatella for trying but its not going to happen... Allegra isn't in L.A., she's at Brown University. I just saw her in person (we brushed shoulders in one of Brown's theaters) and she looks like a skeleton. She's a pretty good dancer though. Certainly knows how to work the feather boa.

I think its very sad that anyone, anyone, starves themselves! I wish that those who are anorexic or have any type of eating disorder would get help. I wish someone would reach out to then and say, sweetheart, what you are doing is NOT okay, its not right, and you need help. Joking about a disease is sad, and for those of you who think this is funny, you should think again, this a disease and it KILLS!
