Maybe it is just a temporary fascination they hold, since they don't know each other well yet... but my hubby and I got married quickly, too... TEN years ago and going strong. Give them a break. Alot of gay men have girlfriends, get engaged and even married. I had a college professor with four daughters and after 26 years of mariage, he finally left after having cheated on her for years with other men. My boyfriend now has been with lots of women and my ex had been engaged for two years! Having sex with a woman does not mean you're not gay, in fact I'd imagine there are alot more gay men that have had sex with women than those who haven't.

I was once married to a guy several years ago. My ex-husband's uncle worked at Kenny Chesney's record label and was dating him for SEVERAL months. My ex-husband's uncle was openly gay. He told the family he was dating him, but that it was hushed because of Kenny's career. This took place around 1997-1998.

Fraud in a civil annulment case means either that one of them wasn't free to marry in the first place (unlikely), or that one of them (since she's filing, that means Kenny) misrepresented something so serious that the marriage was never valid in the first place - this means something of a very personal nature - you can't get anulled because the guy didn't disclose his back tax forms, for example.

Whatever happened must be pretty shocking for a high-profile personality like Renee Zellweger to seek an annulment. She must know that was bound to get serious publicity and that speculation and scrutiny would ensue. Whatever happened has her seriously angry and hurt.

I'm actually pretty shocked she didn't know. When they married, I thought maybe she was gay, too, or that they were just very, very good friends and she was doing him a favor. But maybe she really didn't know. Which is weird, because it's so obvious, and because people have been saying it for years.

As for him having other girls, well, that's all been part of his bio and legend, but all that "happened" before he was really famous. I think the story about him having been engaged and dumped and having been so broken-hearted he couldn't see anyone was his cover for a while, but it must have been wearing thin, so he opted for a smoke-screen marriage.

It's actually pretty damned sad that people feel they have to live their lives this way.

Thing is, it's her filing for the annulment that's causing the gossip. She could always have opted for the quiet, quickie divorce and people would have rolled their eyes and chalked it up to celebrity flightiness in general and forgotten about it in a day.

Not that all men who shave off their body hair are gay, but it seems to me that more gay men shave their body hair than straight men. This is one of the things that made me question Kenny's sexual orientation. To me, the "smooth look" is one of the most un-masculine and un-appealing things I can think of! The majority of my female friends, and myself, are highly attracted to men with a nice amount of body hair, and totally turned off to "smooth" men.
Perhaps this attraction/repellant effect stems from a subconscious instinct that makes us more likely to be with straight men, versus gay men. Just for the record, I have nothing against anyone, man or woman, based on their sexual orientation -- or their race or religion either, for that matter! Live and let live is my motto. :) I guess I'm just rambling. But I did want to bring up the topic of Kenny shaving off his body hair, simply because I noticed no one else here has mentioned it. Just a friendly correction to Babalu (and I do mean friendly, because I don't get mad about much) -- I did not say Kenny "must be gay because he has a hairless body" as you misrepresented me as saying. I just commented that the fact that Kenny shaves off all his body hair was a red flag that made me SUSPECT he might be gay.

I also commented that based on my own observations and experience, more gay men than straight men seem to favor the "smooth" look, but I did NOT say this is true for ALL gay men. I would never say that, because it's simply not true. I just made an honest observation based on my own experience; nothing more. :) I myself have known several gay men who were very hairy and liked themselves that way. I thought I had developed pretty good gaydar....but I admit I am surprised by these developments. I really hadn't heard much of Kenny Chesney, being not much of a country fan although I am a fan of all kinds of music, especially classic stuff, though I had been aware of him and seen him on Awards shows.

I didn't know Kenny, but had become a BIG fan of Renee since 'BRIDGET JONES' 'CHICAGO' and chat show appearances. When she hooked up with KC, I thought 'hurray if they are happy!'

Now reading about this, and looking at him more skeptically, I agree he may well be a homosexual. As a country music fan since 1995, I can't even count the number of times I've heard, seen or read people commenting or wondering about Terri Clark's sexual orientation. Some of the commentary has been very immature and insulting.

Personally I couldn't care less if Terri is lesbian, bi, or straight. She is a talented singer, songwriter and musician and that's what I (and other folks) like and respect her for.
