Hmm, it looks like there might be some truth to the rumor that Aniston is far more right-wing than Brad (and he seems pretty left). Perhaps that's one of the real reasons they split? God knows my husband would divorce me if I turned Republican. Nor would I blame him.

I've always had a helluva lot more respect for the celebs who choose to donate money without having to tell the whole world about it. I guess Angelina Jolie could have done a better job as a UN Ambassador if she just kept her mouth shut from time to time instead of blabbing about how she donates 50% - 30% of her income. Here in Norway we have a handful UN Ambassadors, it not such a great acheivement actually. You do good in athletics for a couple of years, you get the ambassador of the UN title. and off you go. You guys talk like AJ is the only female ambassador in the entire world. She's not mother Theresa, she has just joined a network of volunteers. Get a grip!

sure her UN ambassadorship may not be as big a deal to norwegians, but when some hollywood goddess like AJ actually makes attempts at bettering the world around her, give her some credit. she doesn't have to travel in land-mine ridden countries, adopt asian orphanes, or bring attention to AIDS ridden continents like Asia or Africa. She could behave like Jenny Anniston--sit on her balcony making sure she's got a kicking suntan and that the world knows she has rock hard abs. Don't denegrate AJ's title just because title-inflation occurred.

Well, you said it. It's because she's a Hollywood goddess that you make such a fuss over AJ, right? She's NOT a UN Ambassador - but a UN GOODWILL Ambassador - and so is: Giorgio Armani, Geri Halliwell, Mia Farrow, Jessica Lange, Whoopi Goldberg, Ricky Martin, Vanessa Redgrave, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Linda Grey etc. Just curious - are AJ getting the attention because she's goodlooking, or because the other Goodwill ambassadors don't need to tell everybody who cares to listen how incredible they are?

Excuse my mistake--I was typing too quickly. In referrence to the other UN GOODWILL AMBASSADORS: they aren't hounded by the media about their past or future actions. Angelina is. So what if she is given more airtime than the others--you said yourself that there are plenty of these GOODWILL AMBASSADORS. Those that have a higher Q-rating will get the mic sooner than those who don't. But once again, is AJ talking about her largess, or the plight of developing nations? You obviously have other issues with her being in the media and chance to bring light on these truly important issues. If Cate Blanchett (and so on) were in the news every other minute, don't you think she (or they) would do the same?

AJ tells people she donates money in order to influence others to do the same. It isn't anything selfish! Shame on you Jannick A for saying those jealous ridiculous things! Brad has long been interested in human rights, so he and Angelina may have more in common, however, that doesn't justify cheating on poor, homely Jennifer. I feel sorry for her. Angelina's beauty was obviously more than Brad could resist, but he should have waited until he was single.

i just don't get this! jennifer already said brad didn't cheat! she's brad's wife if i remember correctly. yet some people insist that brad cheated! are they supposed to be brad's wife too?

and one more thing, i highly doubt that angelina would volunteer information (about how much time, effort or money she shares to the less privileged countries) without having been asked in interviews (be it in print or tv).

This is so stupid. These people have nothing to do with us, nor do they care whether we defend them or not. But I will say, Jennifer Aniston is much more beautiful than Angelina Jolie. You people have no idea what you're talking about. She's classic and funny. She is a very good actress and not there's not one guy i talk to who doesn't think she's sexy. Come on, AJ is pale, and in any pictures you see of her, she's wrinkley. Look at her neck...Even her lips are! yuck... and let's face it, she has no class. She made out with her brother and Billy Bob in front of millions of people. She was insanely explicit about their sexual relations. The girl's nuts. Jennifer Aniston, to me, seems much more down to earth. I don't agree with her political views, but honestly let's all stop talking like we know these people. Unless we talk to them on a regular basis (which i am pretty sure none of us do), we have no idea where they're coming from. P.S. Brad seems to be the asshole in the situation. I hate it when all the blame gets put on both the girls, when the guy has basically pitted (no punn intended) against eachother. Good luck to Jenn. Let's face the facts. (Even if they are presented one-sided right now.) Jen gave a recent interview to Vanity Fair magazine claiming she and the world were "shocked" to see pictures of a family-style AJ and BP frolicking on an African litterol.

Speculative red herring: Brad's a glutton for privacy, and it's rumoured that his previous relationships were strained due to his female counterpart 'leaks' to the press.

Jen then expresses her 'hurt' over the W Magazine spread, a product of Pitt's insensitive scheming -- busting happy facades and breaking down superficial displays of 'perfect' married life.

Angelina has denied rumours of any romantic relationship with Brad, and yet Brad still has made no formal comment. Why? Wouldn't he want to stop the extreme tabloid fascination and end the speculation once and for all if it weren't true? Obviously, if he and AJ are together, he does not want to discuss it with the press. Me thinks Brad doesn't want to lie about his relationships, and therefore mum is the word.

Speaking of, both Jen and Angelina have strained relationships with their parentals. Jen has been estranged from her mother ever since the latter decided to sell-out with a tabloid tell-all. And Angie has had a major fall-out with her father, who claims his daughter is an insane, emotionally unstable, borderline disordered unfit mother. Angie's antics have been widely publicized, for better or worse.

In terms of acting, Angie has enjoyed more critical success than Jen, winning numerous accolades for dramatic performances, several back-to-back Golden Globes and even an Academy Award. She seems to garner mass sex appeal among demographically vital men and women, more so than Jen. Angie's even 6 years Jen's junior.

Now for Brad. He seems to have transfixed the world, even appearing as the ultimate paragon of beauty in one Canadian's country music ditty. He's definitely an attractive guy, but I'm reminded of one television reporter's comment of Brad's new look, "If I passed Brad Pitt on the street, I wouldn't think any more than, Yeah, he's an attractive gay man. But nothing more."

Which begs an even more important question: Is Brad Pitt gay?

Then ask the people who have seen and interacted with him in person and they'll respond, "What awful skin - terrible acne scars."

Who died and made Brad Pitt God? Has he made some supernatural covenant with the Devil, and his marriage to the Lord of Evil somehow precludes any natural, prolonged unions with mortal primates?

Granted, Brad Pitt is very pretty. Probably on par with both Jen and Angelina. A facial analysis would probably indicate stunning proportionality and symmetry. His acting is marginal, but his movies are exceptional. He plays very good supporting characters.

He's no more talented or pretty than Tom Cruise. Wait, isn't Tom Cruise gay? That's a whole 'nother essay.

Whatever the real issues, whatever the real scandal, whatever the real relationships in these people's lives... they're meant to be private for those involved. It's a shame that actors have 'representatives'. People who pretend for a living have publicists! Isn't that such an ironically disturbed notion!?

Superstardom is big business. These people make millions of dollars for corporate companies and movie studios, and for themselves. Their lives are put on display for attention, because popularity equals dollars. These people are public figures. They know the consequences of starring in big blockbuster shabangs. And when actors try to hide, it's a case of having their cake and eating it too.

Would Brad Pitt avoid Late Night with Conan O'Brien if marketing didn't demand it? Most likely. Press junkets and interviews are lame, and most actors wade in agony through them. Interesting why Brad Pitt has made no formal mention of his status with AJ. Begs a question: What is he hiding?

The timing of these scandals are correlationally convenient with movie openings and premieres. So why the Vanity Fair article with Jen? Hmmm, I'll bet you it's for some sort of self-promotion. Me thinks she has a few movie roles coming out soon that need aggressive marketing.

Superstardom is a curse. I feel sorry for these people. Fame and wealth do not provide happiness; in fact, they cause more harm than good. They replace friends with fans, trust with paranoia and art with commercialism.

The sad part of a Hollywood cliche' is just that: It's soo cliche`.

Jennifer Aniston says she wants to find her soulmate, why not have her on as the next bachelorette? That way she might find her soulmate. She has 100 guys to choose from. I think it would be good for the audience and it would get high ratings. Brad Pitt might even get jealous because of all the guys after Jennifer.
