I'd say a job well done. Who cares how great or how terrible the movie is when the obvious centerpiece of the film is the superhero's endowment?
"There was more discussion about Superman's 'package' than anything else on the suit," costume designer Louise Mingenbach says in the Sept. 12 issue of Newsweek, currently on newsstands. "Was it too big? Was it not big enough? Was it too pointy? Too round?"
"It was somebody's job for about a month just working on codpiece shapes," adds Mingenbach. "It was crazy."

Concerning SUPERMAN PACKAGE article it's pretty much commanplace that almost all male superhero fans share, and Superman is no different, even if he is from another planet. Alex Ross has even pin-pointed this fact by administering it in his illustrations. For instance in his JLA, where Superman is in the forefront and center and displaying an obvious display of being HUNG. (He cant be wearing underwear). What can I say, it's now Brandon Routh, or bust.
Dennis Anfuso says:
I hate to sound too fussy or picky, but Brandon just doesn't work for me as Superman. He is no where near muscular enough, and the suit is too earthy, the Superman suit is an icon that should not be altered. Who would fly with a brown cape? I mean really!? Even his features are not 'sharp' enough. SUperman has a strong straight nose, and powerful lantern jaw. Prominant cheek bones and when he's in the costune, he has to have the curl in his hair...I mean am I the only one who reads the comic? I am open minded about the film, after all I was sure I'd hate Michael Keeton as Batman, and he did a great job with it.
