Ah yes, the familiar Lavely & Singer letterhead. She's being very preemptive on this one. If only she hadn't let her diary slip out of her lotioned up hands.

So this Lindsay Lohan briefly lost her diary last week (that she could misplace such a thing doesn't surprise us, but who knew teen starlets still scribbled in those things?). Anyway, it seems that a few pages from the volume were torn out before the item found its way back to the 19-year-old actress (according to New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe, Lohan's diary was pinched during a night out at Manhattan's Maritime Hotel). Usually, this is the point at which most young women promise themselves not to be so careless with a journal memorializing personal thoughts about assorted love interests and family matters. Lohan, of course, instead turned to the high-priced legal battalion at Los Angeles's Lavely & Singer to send out threatening letters to publications warning them not to print anything from the purloined pages. We're not sure of the accuracy of the claims in the below legal threat letter--which does not use Lohan's name--but we do know that a recent Lavely & Singer missive sent TSG's way is filled with blatant lies and misstatements. We've repeatedly tried to discuss these with author/name partner Martin Singer, but the braying litigator has ducked us for three weeks.

Oh, Lord.

A pastor accused of selling the town's oldest church pleaded guilty to embezzlement on Monday and agreed to 18 months in prison, court officials said. Randall Radic, 53, entered his plea as part of a deal in which prosecutors agreed to drop nine other charges.

Radic had preached at First Congregational Church in Ripon for nearly a decade before he sold the church last October for $525,000, allegedly using the money to buy a BMW. He also faked documents that gave him possession of his house, which was owned by the church, then used the property to take out loans, authorities said.

Before the plea deal, Radic had faced up to nine years in prison for 10 counts, including two counts of theft by embezzlement, two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, four counts of forgery of signature and two counts of presenting a fraudulent document.

Oh dear. Classy as always.

What guy wouldn't think Jessica Alba would be the perfect girlfriend? Although, this year, the guys didn't think that Britney Spears would be ideal. She failed to make the list. It's the Kfed association.

More guys want Jessica Alba for their girlfriend than any other woman, according to AskMen.com’s top 99 list for 2006. The 24-year-old actress tops the Web site’s list ranking female celebrities on their “long-term relationship material.” Alba's career credits include “Fantastic Four,” “Honey,” “Into the Blue,” “Sin City” and the TV series “Dark Angel.”

Alba is followed by “Alfie” star Sienna Miller and the ubiquitous Angelina Jolie. The list will be posted Tuesday. James Bassil, editor-in-chief of AskMen.com, told The Associated Press the list was determined by the rankings of 2.5 million readers and by the site’s staff.

Readers of the online magazine were asked to vote according to the woman they would most want a relationship with, would consider marrying or thought best-suited to be the mother of their children. Of course, few have ever accused Alba, Miller or Jolie of being short on movie star glamour.

The rest of the top 10, in order, is Brazilian model Adriana Lima (No. 1 last year), “Access Hollywood” correspondent Maria Menounos, Charlize Theron, Jessica Biel, singer Amerie, Natalie Portman and Eva Longoria.
