I was totally against Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the beginning, because I believed the whole public display of things had to really hurt his ex-wife. Now that the cat is completely out of the bag, I hope this is true love. This is a lovely, unique family they are building, and I wish them the best.

Good Riddens! I hope they move and never come back. I am so sick of them and their world saving ways. The only reason they publically save the world is because they have money, have an easy job that pays them ridiculous amounts of money, and when they realize this (at 26 yrs or 41 yrs old) and feel empty inside because their lives don't mean much it is then that they actually do something meaningful. If we all had money and time to help, most of us (I would like to think) would try to help those less fortunuate than ourselves. But stop making Angelina F*'in Jolie a saint for doing something a ton of good people do everyday, who get no credit or money or magazine covers for.

P.S. Just one more thing, AIDS is destroying the African people and meds are not available to millions of adults, as well as children, yet Angie only adopts healthy (or one's that can catch up nutritionally, oh but the mother died of AIDS) children. They have enough money to keep a child with HIV alive for decades or more. They have money to help children with disabilities thrive in society, yet they only pick the pretty and healthy. Interesting! By the way, there are no children in this country that need to be adopted, Right?

I do applaud Angie for the work she does (there are SO many others who have the $ or fame to help but do nothing) but I cannot agree with you more when you mention the people who do what she does everyday but get no credit or mag covers for it.

THOSE are the people who deserve the adulation. They live it every day...LITERALLY. They live in the same conditions that the people they're helping do. At least Angie gets to go to her comfy home or hotel suite every night.

Who cares as long as someone does good as Angelina does - who cares if the children she adopts are not American. How ignorant! Are we not of the same planet all of us? Does it matter where we help? Look, this is coming from someone who grew up poor and Black in this country. I am used to people overlooking my community. I am used to walking through crackhouses to get to school as a child. I am used to nothing. Yet, as an adult, I realize what is important for me is to become a woman of the world. It is not enough for me to be concerned with the poor Black people I am used to seeing. I want to care about Bosnia, Africa, Russia, poor children in India, poor children everywhere. The biggest trick that poverty plays on you is to think you are the only one. I remember not having enough to eat as a child but I refuse as an adult to not care about the rest of the world because I was a poor Black American. I am part of the rest of the world.

And why is it all of a sudden because Angelina is adopting, we all realize there is poverty in America? I don't remember anybody caring about my community when I was growing up!

Like another poster said on another website, why don't you contact Jennifer Anniston and ask her to save America's poor? Maybe she could adopt a few poor AMERICAN kids! She is America's sweetheart, right? If Angie, is such a bad person then stop asking her to be good. Concentrate on getting Anniston to save America's poor. See what she says.

P.S. Angelina's magazine covers on the work she does allows the issue to be globalized. If I do good, I am an unknown person and cannot affect people the way a celebrity can. That is specifically why celebrities should do what she does - publicize the issues so the world hears aobut it. That is the power of celebrity.

I have also traveled the world now that I can afford it. I can tell you now, in the projects, I was very lucky compared to how some children are living in the rest of the world.

My two cents worth is this--take it or leave it...
Brad Pitt seems out in the cold here, as all anyone focuses on is Angelina. People love or hate her, mostly because of the "love triangle."

I agree with NEWCOMER a bit. This couple looks handsome together, but "something" seems missing in their photos. Brad was "all smiles" in earlier photos, but now he appears so serious, like he's in deep thought all the time.

Although she may not feel all that good in her condition, I wish Angelina would really glam it up while she is pregnant. She needs to relax and eat. Bless her for her work, but she needs to take it easy. She only has a few months to go and she's still not really glowing.

I saw a photo of the two when they were making their movie. She and Brad had snuck off together between filming. Angelina looked like a goddess. Anyone remember that photo? They have it posted on this site somewhere. She was wearing a red dress and makeup. Her hair was beautiful. She looked fantastic. That's what I'm talking about! Lately, she's just been looking terribly homely and tomboyish in jeans and her hair up in combs. She should be looking better than Catherine Zeta Jones did when she was with child, because basically (just my opinon-don't get mad at me), Angelina is better looking.

it's nice to hear someone who obviously has an cosmopolitan view of the world (instead of the "America is the centre of the universe" view) articulate themselves so well. Most "poor" Amerians living off welfare have a higher standard of living then doctors and other professionals living in the poorest areas of the world. Just because other people who do good for thier communities do not get media coverage does now mean that a celecrity should not get media coverage (for doing more or less). And as for this being a celebrity blog, it's good to know that we can enjoy mindless entertainment while maintainig a sharp and well informed mind.
