I know what you're saying, "two David Beckham items in one day!" I couldn't resist posting this one either. We all know that David Beckham isn't the brightest brightest lit bulb, but come on, having problems with his six-year-old son's maths homework?
The England captain and Real Madrid midfielder was forced to call on his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, to help their son Brooklyn with a school assignment because the footballer found the sums too difficult."Their homework is so hard these days," Beckham, 30, said in an interview with the Mail on Sunday. "It's totally done differently to what I was teached when I was at school, and you know I was like 'Oh my God, I can't do this'."
Said after failing in mathematics he offered to read a book with Brooklyn instead.
Well, at least he can read. Is anyone up for giving David a few tutoring lessons?

Au contraire. This ain't your grandma's first grade math no more. They do multiplication tables now (1-10), Roman numerals, and 2-3 digit addition and subtraction in three different ways: with regrouping, without regrouping and the short method. As far as I can recall, we were only taught the short method. Hence, I too had to go running to the teacher when my daughter entered grade I, needing some Math enlightenment. I don't know why they have to make it harder for the kids when the version we learned is still the fastest and easiest way to go. But David, honey, it's "taught."

After reading everyone's comments about David Beckham, I was extremely frusterated, and find it completely rude to make fun of him. (Whether he is famous or not). It's funny how people can so easily make fun of other people, because they find certain subjects or things difficult but everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.What if that was one of yours? So next time you go and make fun of someone, stop to think at what you are about to say.
