Don't you feel safer now that the deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been arrested in a sex sting operation on charges of trying to seduce someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. We can only assume that he thought the girl was Osama Bin Laden's daughter, and she was going to lead him to her evil father.

I have a problem with these types of arrests. In actuality, there was no real crime as the person really was not a 14 year old girl. Yes, it does show that he has the propensity to commit such a crime, but there really was no crime committed.

LDYSUNFYRE a crime is based on the perpetrators intent. Not on what actually occurs. So his intent was to solicit a 14 year old girl. It is a crime to solicit a 14 year old girl. Therefore he commited a crime. Just like if you intent to shot someone and kill them. It is a crime to kill. Therefore even if you miss and just wound the person you can be charged with attempted murder (rather then battery) because your intent was to kill.

These pervs are a dime a dozen. Don't think it's only government officials, it's school teachers, office workers, gas station attendants.......they are literally everywhere. The ones that scare me the most are the school teachers.
