The proud mother of Apple and Moses Martin, is now the highest paid actress in Hollywood. That's if she was getting paid by the minute. For her three minute cameo in Infamous, she will earn $3.6 million or $1.2 million per minute of screen time.
Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly made a staggering $3.6 million for her cameo in 'Infamous' - even though she's only onscreen for three minutes.The screen beauty is said to have pocketed the huge sum for singing one song in the new film, which is her first since taking time off to have her daughter, Apple.
A source told Britain's Heat magazine: "No actress has earned this sort of money for just one day's work.
"When you're talking about someone as beautiful and iconic as Gwyneth making her film comeback after having her baby, then it's the performance that counts."

Since when is Gwen a icon. She is nothing compared to Meryl Streep, Angelica Houstin, Barbara Striesand, and Sally Field. The only reason why she is considered an icon is because she came from a filthy rich family who used thier ties to hollywood to help Gwen make it big time. What film has she ever done that made a significant impact on Hollywood?? Great Expectations ??!! Se7en ??!! Emma ??!! Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow??!! The only good film she ever did was The Talented Mr. Ripley and I think the audience paid more attention to Matt Damon and Jude Law than her.

Gwyneth hasn't been around long enough to become an icon. None of her movies stand out, and she isn't a bankable actress either. I don't think she will ever be able to carry a movie with just her name.
I did, however, love her in the movie Emma. That is her best performance in my opinion, and I have always loved the book by Jane Austen.

Gwyneth USE to dress very nice, which may be the only category she could be considered an icon, and even that's stretching it. The only reason she seems to be a big name is because she sort of declared herself the greatest actress ever in creation and she has parents who put her on screen. I've never seen someone so fucking full of herself in my whole life, and she's really only a mediocre actress. I agree, Meryl Streep is the icon. I love Gywneth. i think she seems very gracious and real - and she is amazing in Proof. Her wardrobe is fantastic- she has her own style - no stylist - anyone who Chris Martin marries would have to be a delight. He has a great sense of humour and seems like a nice guy.
Question: If Gwyneth's family got her where she is? How come Paris's family (who have loads more) could not, or Balthazar Getty, or Robert Wagner's daughter, or any of the other wealthy celebrity families could not buy their offspring a career. She is a huge talent.
