Murder & Mayhem Loud, loud, very loud speaking- storylines with gruesome plots and inhuman killers, driving star to stage-rage, emotional manipulations, catfights, fug dress,.. unusual guests; freaky characters who are either two-dimensional egotists, or insanely angry and sarcasically unfunny annoying.. A staged musical number every fifteen minutes... I hope bah-bah wah-wah doesn't die etc,

I can't wait! The combination of Rosie, Joy and Star will be volatile. I predict Star will lose it big time on live TV and be forced to leave The View out of pride, whereupon Barbara will snap up Julia Roberts to replace he. Julia will be happy to have a job after botching up her return-to-work plan--taking on Broadway.

Nothing could make me watch The View until that greasy Star Jones leaves, haven't seen it in years.
What fools they've been to leave that obnoxious bigmouth on and now they double their ignorance by hiring Rosie who will no doubt try to hijack the show for her causes.

I give it 12 weeks TOPS or until Starr and Rosie have a fistfight over the last bagel at the breakfast buffet.

I like Rosie. She took the risk of losing her audience and her career by losing the "safe" facade and showing her real identity, unashamedly. Good for her. The View may just actually become relevant. Imagine that.

Oh no. I think this is going to be a bad combination. Meredith and Joy are my favorites. The show could not work at all without them.

I predict that Star and Elisabeth will both clash with Rosie.

I LOVE Rosie. As a child I would come home and always watch her show. I almost feel like I grew up with her. I am VERY happy to see that she is returning to television. I have missed her a lot. ROCK ON ROSIE!

I think if I was Star I woud consider this move as trying to get rid of me. Obviously BW is being duplicitous. BW is calling the shots on this show. Noone else has any leverage. I mean why would Rosie come aboard? This move will definitely alienate a lot of core viewers. Also rosie has said some awful things about Star. It seems to me thay they want her to quit and just go away.. This is how I would take it.

Maybe this is BW's way of forcing Star Jones off the show

However, in a one-on-one match, I say Rosie would take Star with no problem. Verbal or physical.

I hope that this IS a "prelim" to getting rid of star. not that I watch the show, but I really dislike her and would love to see a slap in her face like that.

i agree with the prof and KK - this might be BW's manipulation @ work - RO'D signs on for 90 days until the contracts are up for the in place gals....I was thinking Soledad O'Brien - some classy, young media gal to kick the show off and run the host chat as MV does - can't see Rosie having an unspoken thought and can see her on transmit only

Barbara is a very smart woman and certainly knows that this could be a great way to get rid of Star without coming off badly in public. Star must have some fans out there and it wouldn't do to alienate them, now would it? Isn't it about audience share, ultimately? Until Star leaves, it'd be like watching a train wreck. That Babs, crazy like a fox!

I have noticed the seating arrangement lately--Barbara next to Star, and Joy on the end. There is tension between Star and Joy. They're just not getting along. When Joy tells jokes, Star ignores them sometimes.

Since Star lost weight and got married, her personality has really changed. She is more serious. She doesn't smile or laugh as much as she used to. A lot of people do not approve of her husband.

I think some of you are correct when you say this is a way for Walters to make Star leave on her own.

Barbara Walters sure is spineless. She just didn't have the guts to outright fire Star. They all deserve each other, imo.

I heard that on an upcoming show, they have an Eskimo coming in from the North Pole to demonstrate the ancient method of whale hunting. The Eskimo will try to harpoon Rosie O'Donnell. Should be an instructive show.

I can't stand the View the always make fun of Canadians. Rosie isn't a Canadian nor lived In Canada and she is tell us that is was a big mistake to vote Conservative in for Our Prime Minister. I don't like anyone on the View nor now will I like Rosie on it. I like Rosie and think she'll be a great edition to "The View". Afterall, Star looks like she's going to bitch slap Joy Behar anyday now. She's been holding back for a long time now but then if she can have Bill & Hil at her wedding then she is sooooooo "special" in her own mind that is! first off, gay people don't "choose it". it's a biological issue. you think people would actually CHOOSE to be persecuted and beat up because of who they sleep with?

second, although I agree that some minorities "play the victim", there are plenty of gay people who ARE victims of discrimination EVERY DAY. whether it's in their job, their everyday life (shopping, etc...), or simply getting beaten up when leaving a bar, it's their reality.
