I also agree with you deaconess... I am so happy and consider myself incredibly lucky being mom to my two little boys... I always wanted boys and am grateful that I have them... girls' scare me as well... I think that you worry way more about your daughters than your sons... I could be wrong, since my boys' are still little, but I will soon find out. :)

I think her little boy is absolutely divine. All that chub is tooo cute! I think that boys can be as scarey as girls. Raising a good man in this country is difficult. Just think about the horrendous dates you have ever had! I think too many women don't raise their sons -- they just love them But they raise their daughters which is why is seems more difficult. Further, we tend to think of any complications (babies sex getting married) are only things that girls should/do worry about.

We struggle with our little boy - we want him to be as beautiful and as loving a human being as we would try to make our daughter.

but shhesh, it sure does sound like SP is going to get sidelined for his little sis...not just because she'll be "the baby" but because brit makes it sound like she's much more into THIS baby than the first.

regarding the boys vs. girls debate...most parents I've talked to about this say that, when children are young, girls are easier. When they get older, boys are easier. My interpretation of that is little boys "play harder" than little girls (and therefore get hurt more often) and are more rebellious, but teenage girls are PSYCHO compared to teenage boys.

Raising children- BOYS or GIRLS is a hard, hard, JOB--- and it really is a job, becuase it is alot of hard work... you have to constantly tread the line of keeping them in line and loving them at the same time--- parents that end up with bratty, un-ruly kids are the ones that have "given up" trying to correct the mis-behaviors of their little ones-- believe me when I say this that it absolutely takes the patience of job to be consistent with your kids, but it is a must-- you have to be or else you do end up with spoiled, un-controllable children-- which is a shame.

doofus- I have heard that as well, that girls' are easier when they are young compared with boys', but they "give it back" so to speak during their teenage years... I think that this is because girls' run on emotions and take things to heart, whereas boys are able to shrug things off, for the most part... all of us girls' think about when you would argue with a girl-friend, you would probably declare that you were never ever speaking to her again because of something that was done, said, etc... that hurt you... in other words- we hold grudges, whereas boys' can argue with a friend and then within 5-minutes be on the court shooting hoops with him-- they get to the issue, work it out and then move on, something us girls' seem to struggle with.

Like my sister says...she likes having boys because she only has one penis to worry about, with girls you have a world of them...My hubby and I are having problems having kids and I just wish that the people lucky enough to have them would realize how blessed they are and love them with all their heart. I don't think any child should be looked down or treated differently based on sex.

What was she thinking when she married a man who left his pregnant wife and child? Obviously she wasnt..... I think that it was definitly lust and not love.
