Beyonce's Back In The Studio

Well, when she's not taking in the rays with Jay-Z. This time she's brought on board the Pussycat Dolls producer, Sean Garrett to help her come up with some catchy lyrics. I would be amazed if she could top the catchiness of "Crazy In Love."

With new material on the way and hoping to achieve Destiny’s Child-like success, B has grabbed the Pussycat Dolls’ and general big-boy producer, Sean Garrett, for writing help. The man of the moment (who Jay-Z previously nicknamed ‘The Pen’) has been called in to help finish her forthcoming solo album. No stranger to writing for superstars, this four-time Grammy Award-nominated songwriter has had previous success with Usher's Yeah and Ciara's Goodies. He told Vibe magazine how work with the future Mrs Carter went. “We knocked out about 10 songs in about eight days on her new album,” he said. “Beyoncé Knowles is hands-down one of the best, if not the best in the industry. As you will hear we just took her sh*t to a whole other level.” The second single, and follow up to January's Check On It feat Slim Thug is around the corner and with Swizz Beatz on co-production with the lady herself all involved are excited about the forthcoming release. Put simply “The second single is absolutely fu***** amazing.” Says Garrett.

I have no doubt that B is going to PUT IT DOWN!! with her new album. Beyonce is definately one for the record books. She is a legend in the making! Right up there with Whitney, Barbara, Tina, Mariah and Janet!

GIRL PLEASE, YOU DON'T NEED TO TAN - YOUR ASS IS BLACK. I AM LIGHTER SKINNED THAN BEYONCE AND I DON'T GO TANNING LIKE SOME FRIED WHITE GIRL.

PLESE. AND WORK ON THE WEAVE SWEETIE.

May 10, 2006 4:05 PM

Umm...I'm black too, slightly darker than Bey, and I enjoy hanging at the pool or on the beach. Some of us don't mind getting a bit darker, and it's not about trying to be like a "fried white girl". I mean damn, can we not enjoy the sun and fun at the pool and beach too? Is that just for white people now? She's on vacation for God's sake.

"also black said"....the poster's name was "ghetto mama"...did you honestly expect her to say something intelligent?

May 10, 2006 4:16 PM

"Also Black"...WELL SAID!

ghetto mama, you need to find yourself a good mood and jump on it.

May 10, 2006 4:46 PM

Hia! I was drinking hot tea and I almost drooled on myself. LOL!

Ditto to everyone else about brown girl enjoying the sun. I am black (darker than the one muffin away from chubz beyonce) and I love the sun. I am not trying to be a friend to cancer but I laze in it like a kitty on sunny window seat!

May 10, 2006 5:01 PM

Damn, we, as black women, can't enjoy the sun?...Ghetto Mama must be of the variety that feels she needs to stay "light"...

May 10, 2006 5:33 PM

She is the most incredible young star around. Not only does she keep it real, she keeps it moving along with class, style and grace. All that and she's only 22.

This "sista" could teach a thing or two to every other woman (white, black, latin or otherwise) on this planet!

May 10, 2006 5:58 PM

regardless of you rskin tone everyone looks better when they've been kissed by the sun. You can always tell when someone has been laying in the sun their skin glows. And who doesn't like laying by the pool wih their baby?

May 10, 2006 8:36 PM

Becks,

"Also Black"...WELL SAID!"

No, it was well WRITTEN. WTF? Did anybody here graduate high school?

Ghetto Mama's right. B's too fucking dark already.

May 10, 2006 8:53 PM

Well written, well said, who gives a rat's ass? No one goes on these sites for grammar lessons.Very immature and snotty to belittle people by correcting their grammar, and I graduated from UCLA, so yes, there are people who graduated high school.
Going back to more important matters, I believe that if Beyonce wants to lie out in the sun, which obviously she does, then let her. Just because society dictates that lighter skin is better ( a racist notion), Beyonce doesn't let that get in her way of fun, or how she looks at herself. I commend her.

May 10, 2006 9:14 PM

beyonce and I are ipod twins!

May 10, 2006 10:13 PM

stinky :

beyonce is 24 and she'll be 25 in September.

May 10, 2006 11:18 PM

Finally, someone brave enough to champion illiteracy! Bobesa, thank you so much for supporting the functionally retarded out there in cyberspace! You are truly one of America's 'Thousand Points of Light'.

May 10, 2006 11:20 PM

SIGHHHH...the tired old weave attack......my
God when will folks get over it damn.

May 11, 2006 3:49 AM

Am I the only one who find that woman truly bland and boring?

May 11, 2006 4:18 AM

What does "weave" mean? I am from france, i dont know.....merci

May 11, 2006 8:56 AM

I think Beyonce is a package; a well presented package. I think she has an amazing work ethic and is very talented, but there is a small part of me that imagines her fully capable of throwing a tantrum if she doesn't get the attention she feels she deserves. That being said; I still like her music; like her public persona and admire her success. As for the tan: perhaps part of the reason to tan is to get tan lines... because they can be suggestively sexy. That applies to everyone of every color and both genders, so... that's my 2 cents for the day. :-)

May 11, 2006 1:14 PM

Hotmama: A weave is fake hair sewn into your hair. Like Britney Spears and Beyonce and all the starlets are doing now.

I agree with Ghetto Mama people. I think a black girl tanning is an attempt at showing that she is light enough TO tan. It is a status thing in their mind.

I am Black and all these black people above know for DARN SURE that when we were younger and went to the beach with our parents, none of us were lounging around TANNING. Give me a break.

We don't need to tan because we go into the sun and it just naturally makes our skin beautiful and tanned.

Tanning is not something we black people do specifically. It just happens for us. And I am a hazel eyed, honey colored black girl, with natural gold highlights in my hair since I was a baby, by the way.

I never think of tanning. I just let the sun shine on me and watch my skin glow!

May 11, 2006 1:51 PM

Am *I* the only who wouldn’t dare lay in the sun to become dark or sun-kissed? I don’t give a flaming rat’s ass if you’re white, black, brown or yellow! Is melanoma not a concern for people of color? Seriously, I’m not trying to disrespect anyone – have a care for your own skin! Yeah, you might have a
gorgeous glow now but in 10 years you’ll look like a pair alligator shoes in Beyonce’s closet. Meanwhile, my own albino hide will still be flawless and pale....

May 12, 2006 12:39 PM

wow...The article was on her new music, and all you guys can talk about is skin color...it's SUN...sit in it..BIG DEAL

well written apple pie.....
