Looks like Versace might be trying to bring back the models. Instead of opting for a celebrity - this is the part where Lindsay Lohan sobs in a corner- the fashion company has chosen a group of models for their fall ad campaign. Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, Daria Werbowy, Angela Lindvall, and the ever present Kate Moss are the lucky women. Could this spell the demise of high earning celebs in ad campaigns? Will we soon be able to say goodbye to Halle Berry and Demi Moore looking very non-model-like in their ads? Though this is what Women’s Wear Daily is reporting, I doubt we’ll be seeing the end of actresses, since people will buy anything if they see a celeb sporting it. Even four year old “It” child Maddox Jolie-Pitt has that type of clout. However, on the positive side, the youngest in this group is 21 year old Daria. There’s no 15 year old Eastern European in sight. It’s nice to have models we can call women (and not “girls”) for a change, isn’t it?

I'm glad they are bringing back the models. That's their job, that's what they get paid to do, I for one miss the days of the supermodels. Remember the George Michael videos with Christy, Linda, Tyra, et. all? I loved them. Bring them back!

So glad. It really bugs me when they choose rich and famous actresses to model things, when previously before they were famous they would be turned down because they were too short of too normal looking!x
