That was according to Reuters at least. We are postive that the leak had something to do with stocks dropping for the second straight session Tuesday, with the Dow Jones industrial average falling to its worst close since March 9. Let's not even get started about the unrest yesterday in Iran.
The authenticity of the image could not be immediately verified, but others in the magazine industry said they presumed it was the real thing."Somebody from Hello! must have leaked it. ... I'm sure it's a legitimate cover. I don't know how it got there," a spokeswoman for rival People magazine told Reuters.
No representatives for Hello! were available for comment, but the magazine's online site carried a blank space at the bottom of its page with the message: "The most eagerly awaited baby exclusive of the year ... On sale from Thursday, June 8."
People magazine, which broke the news of the March 27 birth in the southern African nation of Namibia, said its photos of the Jolie-Pitt baby would run in this week's issue, which hits newsstands on Friday.
Pitt and Jolie announced on Monday that they had agreed to let photo agency Getty Images market pictures of their newborn to other outlets, with all proceeds going to charities. Experts estimated worldwide rights to the pictures would range from $5 million to $7 million in all.
Getty Images spokeswoman Deb Trevino said lawyers for her agency were investigating how the baby image made it onto the Internet.
While you're eagerly awaiting the photos of Shiloh Nouvell, how about a few little ones of her daddy and Maddox, after the jump.

who cares says:
"It is very difficult to control the Web and this proves how rampantly out of control it is. We have absolutely no idea how the picture was leaked," Juliet Herd feature editor for Hello! Magazine said.
No - i think that working the pop media into such a frenzy for pictures of a generic looking baby that anyone is willing to pay 4.1 million dollars for a stupid picture is out of control...charity or not.
Jersey Girl says:
If the picture that was posted yesterday was the real thing, i have to say that baby is definitely NOT the most precious baby in the world. I have seen my share of better looking babies. She looks very normal. i don't know why all the fuss.
Good thing about the charity though...
Kelsey says:
Uhm, just to clarify, it was a MAY 27 birth, not March.

I heard on the radio this morning that Pitt/Jolie are moving back to Malibu within the month there, Angelina made a phone call to Jennifer's people and "Asked" if they could meet to discuss becoming friends as well as apologizing for the way everything happen. Hilarious, Suzie Homewrecker Jolie wants to apologize.
Lisa says:
Somehow, I don't think Angelina gives a crap about being friends with Jennifer. I don't believe that story.
TruJrzyGrl says:
Yes, I agree with you ... Angelina is such a homewrecking bitch who cares all about herself and how "Saintly" she is painted to all of us ... Some saint. I'd torture her ass as the ex wife. lmao !!

Some of you sound like bitter, sore losers. The Aniston-Pitt marriage was never an equal match. He is an international superstar. She is an American television star from one sitcom. Worlds apart. Even large segments of the American population don't know or care who she is because her sitcom was so exclusionary. Nobody other than White, twenty-thirty somethings care about Jennifer Aniston or "Friends". I think she must have caught Brad at a vulnerable moment on the rebound from Gwyneth. The marriage was in trouble at least 18 months prior to the filming of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" begun. He was 41 and ready to start a family (about time!). She claims she was ready also, only long enough to get out of her "Friends" committments, in the meantime she was lining up films to work on. Tell me, if you are in Mommy-mode why would you line up years worth of movie contracts? "Brad is missing a sensitivity chip?" Not based on the history of his romances in which he is always the more loving party. I think Brad just lost his sensitivity to being manipulated by a controlling, self-serving woman who was only using him for his box office clout to further her career (his appearance on "Friends"). Anyway, whatever. They parted ways. That doesn't make Angelina a homewrecker or a saint. What leans toward saintly behavior is how she is following Audrey Hepburn's model as Unicef ambassador. How she has gotten Brad to use his stardom to promote philanthropic charity work in African and Asian countries instead of using it to promote the career of a second rate actress.
