Why do so many people who are planning to wed have to get pregnant before the ceremony? It's becoming the norm now. What message are we sending to our young people?

What the hell is up with her swollen face? She looks bloated. I'm not getting this! She's strange looking, and I always thought she was ravishing...Not anymore.

Man, i'd be happy to look like that and not be preggers. Girl is so skinny, its sorta hard to tell if she is indeed pregnant or just put on 5 lbs. At any rate, they look very happy as a couple & I'm happy for them.

I saw all the new pics...in my opinion she does'nt look pregnant.I guess she's sterile because Tom had his newborn Suri!

I think it is ridiculous to look at her and claim she uses botox and that she has no lines or her face looks bloated or that she is inflating her cheeks, she must have been doing that all her life then. There are HQs of this woman all over and place and you can clearly see her wrinkles, she has her laugh lines around her eyes and cheeks, she has never been the most wrinkly person, go back 6 years, 9 years and she was as wrinkle free as they come and she will continue to be, simply because she doesn't spread herself out in the sun and tan until her skin is like horse meat, you don't need botox to get skin like that, you need care and 39 years of care gives you that, wrinkles is not all about aging, it is about care, people who don't look after their skin age skinwise before their inner clock. In May, at the UNIFEM event people were talking about her using botox, 2 days later she was on a film set, shooting an emotional and quite violent scenes and her expressions were incredible, what happened? did the botox wore off in just 2 days?

She USED to be pretty? puhlease, she still is, all she needs to do is go back to her red hair and she is set. For someone who has seen her recently and without makeup to boot, she was jaw achingly beautiful, she just glowed.

Most people who yak about botox seem to have no concept of the thing. Someone not having heavy handed wrinkles doesn't mean it is all about botox. People who use botox and people who help them inject it wish they looked like Kidman.

If she is using botox then I'd like to know where I can get her type that wears off after a day or two!

Remember what happened with her ex husband - Yep she was supposedly screwing him when he was still married to his first wife. Now it's been twisted to she was his beard, she was a victim.....

I'm with you old fashioned. Sick of knocked up celebrities getting engaged after the fact. I don't want my daughter to look up to her as a role model. PR has you believing she's this strong independent woman, yet her attempts to stall the aging of her face speak volumes. If she's using botox - I doubt she's pregnant. Among it's side effects are severe birth defects and miscarriage.

First of all, I think she's totally pregnant. And GOOD FOR HER!

Second of all, I was delighted to see her hands just as I was delighted to see Reese Witherspoon's belly and cellulite in her beach pics. Nic is a 37 (or 38?) year old woman and hands age. Even if it's not age that are making her hands look not like a 22 year old's, she could be dehydrated, dry skin, hormones, retaining water, whatever. Hands are almost like the face in showing whatever stress you're trying to hide.

My main problem, though, is this attitude that, "They aren't married! How immoral it is for them to try to get pregnant before they're married!" Look, people can get married at any age. However, conceiving children definitely depends on a fairly narrow window (although exceptions happen all the time). I don't think it's a matter of loose morals so much as it is an acknowledgement that things are different now, and if you don't realize that then you'll find yourself 20 years from now going, "If only..."

When it's celebrities with lots of money and the means to give their children everything they could ever possibly want and need without having to rely on public assistance or family handouts or working 500 hours a day and being too tired to pay attention to their kids when they get home, much less provide adequately for them, I say, "You go girl (or guy)."

I remember years ago when lots of celebrities started adopting, Calista Flockhart in particular. I was reading People magazine and someone wrote a letter saying something like, "What makes them think they can just go adopting like that?" I thought, what a mean-spirited person who would a) deny a child a loving parent and a household in which they would never have to be denied a thing, and b) condemn a woman who really wanted to have a child for adopting the child she really wanted.

I couldn't have said it better Blank. If you can support your children without help from others, including the government, why not have or adopt them? A family is a family because of the caregivers who make it so. You don't have to share a last name to be family. You certainly don't have to be married to be compassionate and make a positive contribution to society. I'd rather a child learn that lesson than "you have to be married before you have children." What antiquated, patriarchal clap-trap. In 2006 yet! When they sung it in the 60's, they were further ahead than we oftimes seem to be now.
