In case you weren't aware of it, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were married yesterday in Australia (US Weekly actually called their post on the wedding a US Exclusive - WTF?). The couple was married in an intimate ceremony in an Austrailian clifftop chapel which was attended by close family and a bunch of famous faces. Nicole clutched a bouquet of white roses and wore a white Balenciaga gown and veil. The above photo is the only photo taken from the wedding that was released to the press.
"We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes," the couple said in a brief statement released with the photo.A beaming Kidman, accompanied by her father, Antony, arrived at the church in Manly in a cream Rolls Royce limousine after driving from her harborside mansion across the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge -- followed all the way by media helicopters.
She held a bouquet and wore drop pearl earrings, her face partly obscured by a willowy veil -- in keeping with the traditional theme expected. She smiled and waved to well-wishers gathered outside the venue and her house.
Her blonde hair hung around her shoulders. Australian Associated Press reported the gown was designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga.
The Gothic-style St. Patrick's College building was dramatically floodlit for the dusk-to-evening ceremony, held in a small chapel on the compound. The guests then moved to a marquee erected on the grounds for the reception.
Kidman's adopted daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, Isabella, 13, and sister Antonia arrived in a separate limousine dressed as bridesmaids. Cruise and Kidman's adopted son, Connor, 11, also was expected to participate in the ceremony.
Australian movie star Hugh Jackman was the first guest to arrive, though his black European sedan almost missed the entrance. The car stopped and reversed back to enter the venue.
Kidman's mother, Janelle, was next, stopping briefly and rolling down her car's window to smile for photographers. White minibuses and a fleet of black luxury sedans brought other guests, including media mogul Rupert Murdoch and wife Wendi Deng. Australians

Nicole Kidman cried all the way to the church and throughout the ceremony, while Urban wept when he saw a bride described as "ethereal"
Hugh Jackman sang at the reception. He was part of a musical line-up that went way beyond your standard wedding fare. The Boy From Oz star sang Peter Allen's Tenterfield Saddler at the reception. Urban himself serenaded his bride with one of his own songs, Making Memories Of Us, which ends with the lyrics:And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust makin' memories of us

Keith said a beautiful speech. And sang a gorgeous number. The couple did a waltz, then broke out into a boogie. Neil Finn sang. Rupert Murdock fell over and almost set the place alight. (The place was filled with candles). The couple looked beautiful. It was like a fairytale.

Hope it works out for them, but the problem will be dueling hot careers. You can't do 6 movies per year, or tour 60 countries in a week supporting an album, and keep a relationship going. If she's doing movies and he's touring....that will be the issue.

Hmmmm, not loving the one poofy sleeve, one shoulder bare look, and Small Fry is right about those scary bridesmaid dresses. I don't know. She's definitely over-Botoxed, and I've never been crazy about the blonde on her. She has gorgeous skin, though.
