Tom Cruise Wants To Bring 'MI:4' To Tokyo

Please no! I had hoped that this franchise was going to end with MI:3. Let's hope it's the new father euphoria talking, and not an actual proposal. Just let it end Tom, let it go.

Though there hasn't been an official announcement regarding another sequel in the Mission Impossible franchise, Tom Cruise hinted to a possible scene in the fourth installment that would require the city of Tokyo to literally shut down ... everything. Oh that Tom Cruise and his nutty ideas.

Cruise made the comment alongside director J.J. Abrams while the two were off promoting Mission Impossible 3 in Japan. The actor went on to explain that, although citizens would hate life and traffic would hit an all-time high, he promised an action sequence that would be remembered forever. In return, Tokyo would only have to shut down for one week -- a minor inconvenience for, what could potentially be, Tom Cruise running throughout the streets at super-human speed.

oh, Tom, just PLEASE go away already...

What a tool this guy is. Shut down one of the busiest cities in the world? and for an entire week?

"yeah, life will suck for the people of Tokyo, but so what? as long as my massive ego is kept fed, I don't give a rats ass about anyone else."

unless he's got pictures of the elusive (and possibly non-existant) Suri, I don't want to hear from him anymore.

Oh yeah, good luck finding the director and the studio that wants to incur the cost of shutting down a city for a week. Your movie didn't do that well, Tom.

And Tom, watching a 40-something over the hill action hero isn't an audience pleaser, no matter how many Scientologists are in the audience.

what a tool!

His idea might be cool if there is a scene in the movie where a sumo wrestler pounces on him.

His idea might be cool if there is a scene in the movie where a sumo wrestler pounces on him really hard. He also needs to wear a Hello Kitty shirt in the movie.

SHUTTING DOWN A FUCKING CITY BECAUSE OF A MOVIE!! HOW RIDICULOUS

He already shut down Time Square for vanilla Sky, morons!

You are such not in his shoes; you can't imagine what he can do!

June 29, 2006 4:06 PM

mary, I respectfully point out to you that Times Square, while being a large intersection of NYC, is NOT an entire city. And I seriously doubt that it was for an entire week straight.

What he wants to is comparable to shutting down New York City, the ENTIRE city, for a week.

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue? I seriously doubt that NYC (or Tokyo) officials would go for that scenario.
