The aging cosmetically altered actress is leaving Hollywood and moving to Massachusetts to raise her adopted baby. She purchased a 12-room cliff-top estate on Chappaquiddick Island off the coast of Martha's Vineyard, according to US reports.

A source tells US tabloid National Enquirer, "Meg believes there's more to life than making movies."

It's the celebrity cure-all. When you fuck up, you head off to rehab. Chris Prentiss, a co-founder of the celebrity treatment centre Passages in Malibu, who just happens to be a neighbor of Mel Gibson's, gave his very long-winded opinion on the whole debacle to Star Magazine.

"I understand he has gone into recovery program. The center that I've heard he's checked himself into follows the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step program. And I don't believe that will help him."

Prentiss -- who refused to name the rehab center he's heard Gibson is in -- adds: "I think he needs individual intense therapy by a team of people who know what they are looking for in causes in alcoholism. There are only four causes and it is one or more of those four causes that are causing him to be out of control.

"First, everyone who is using alcohol excessively has a chemical imbalance. The second is events of the past that we can not cope with like the loss of a loved one or it could be guilt. We may have done something years ago that we can't forgive ourselves for. The third one is current conditions we can't cope with like failing marriage or business of lack of respect. The last thing is things we believe that are not true. And in Mel's case I know one of them. He believes he has the disease of alcoholism which probably prevents from him from looking for the real reason why he drinks and alcoholism is not a disease. That is the current thinking today. Alcoholism is a symptom and we treat the underlining causes.

"Statements that Mel Gibson made are a result of alcohol changing Mel Gibson into that kind of a person.

"The Mel Gibson that we all know is not that kind of a person. When alcohol enters his system he becomes an out of control, belligerent, nasty guy. It's not Mel Gibson's life. Most of time, 99.9 percent of time he is fine upstanding gentlemanly person.

"I wish Mel Gibson well and I would like to see him get the help deserves. He is a fine guy and he should have the kind of help that will truly help him."

Mmm, if he knows Mel Gibson soooo well, then why hadn't he intervened sooner?

Celebrities should beware of teens with camera phones. Nick Lachey had a run in with 18-year-old Younes Renak, who claims that Lachey roughed him up when he tried to take the pop singer's photo with his camera phone.

Renak says Lachey went bonkers and began pushing him around inside an elevator at the fashiona ble Rivergate apartment building on East 34th Street where Lachey's TV hottie girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, lives. "It was a cellphone [camera], it wasn't a paparazzi kind of thing," Renak's lawyer, Saul Bienenfeld, told The Post's David K. Li. "We're talking about an 18-year-old kid taking in life in the big city." He said Renak might sue. But reps for the ex-Mr. Jessica Simpson say Renak started pestering Lachey at a drugstore and then followed him into the building and the elevator. "We believe it was a lot more than a young man trying to take a picture," said Lachey's lawyer. Mitch Schuster. His publicist, Ken Sunshine raged, "This harassment with camera phones - it's just out of control." Renak says he still has his cellphone and pictures of Nick, although he declined to share them with us.

While Pamela Anderson was getting married in St. Tropez, a model almost drowned at a party being thrown by Victoria Silvstedt. The woman was thrown into a swimming pool, and promptly sank to the bottom. Needless to say, lots of Cristal and Dom Perignon champagne had been consumed by the partygoers.

According to The Sun:

Victoria was joined by Sweden's celebrity elite including pop stars, models -- and some members of the Swedish royal family.

Guest Nicola Chessa said: "They had a sort of champagne race. They were crazy with all that champagne.

"They ordered hundreds of bottles and started to party and pushed one another into the pool. After a while someone shouted that there was a woman lying immobile in the pool."

"It was all extremely scary."

Go ahead and blame the bubbles.

CEO of SugarDVD.com, Jax Smith was thrilled to hear that Tori Spelling told Giant magazine that his company is her preferred source for adult movies. He promised the NY Post's Page Six a list of the titles she and hubby Dean McDermott have enjoyed.

Rock wore a white V-neck T-shirt with a black Detroit Tigers baseball cap. Pamela Anderson fully knew what she was getting into when she said "I do."

In attendance were Elton John's partner David Furnish and celebrity photographer David LaChapelle.

"Now I'm definitely rocking the most ... MRS ROCK," the "Baywatch" babe wrote on her Web site Sunday. "The best romantic wedding of all time. Rock n roll wedding."

"She was the most beautiful bride I've ever seen -- like a modern-day Brigitte Bardot," Jimmy Choo owner Tamara Mellon told People about Anderson, while Furnish described Rock as a "total rock star. He gave her a good kiss. Everybody was crying."

"[The ceremony] was really laid-back and everyone was super-casual, wearing jeans and sneakers," a source in Saint-Tropez told MTV News. "They were playing music and dancing on the boat. They went out partying and having a good time."

Plenty of photographers and locals tried to get a glimpse of the Rocks. "I can't wait to get away from these paparazzi," Pam wrote on her Web site. "I swear they just wait for the ugliest pictures to take."

If you haven't purchased your wedding gift for the couple yet, they're registered at Wal-Mart. You have some time to make your purchase since they're getting married three more times: in Malibu, California; Nashville; and Kid Rock's hometown of Detroit.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck took in a Boston Red Sox game against the Angels, and Ben almost made the Red Sox's day. A foul ball was hit while the Angel's were on defense. Anyway, Howie Kendrick (#47) caught the ball out of a fans hand. All the fans booed, and when they did a close up, the fan was Ben Affleck, watching the game with Jennifer Garner.
