I have to agree with Kim. I'm "country" and we did this all the time as kids. I mean, it's not like Brad is driving with Shiloh on his lap. :P

People let their kids ride those things all the time. The only difference is, if Brad Pitt even BREATHS outside his house, he gets his picture taken.

I'm sure Maddox is fine as long as he's with his daddy. And he probably isn't going very fast anyway.

Although putting a child on an ATV isn't a great idea under probably any circumstances, you can't think of them as regular ATVs. They can be set to go no faster than walking speed. Unfortunately, the speed is less of a factor here than the likelyhood that the ATV can easily flip and crush its rider.

I don't think that's Maddox if you look at the 2nd picture you could see that there is a child on the ATV with an adult I think that is Brad and Maddox. The child on the small ATV seems to big to be Maddox. Well you never know with these Hollywood people, but this is my opinion on the situation.

Actually, that isn't a FP toy - - that is an ATV. If people are going to be careless, accidents can happen on anything. Teach the child to ride it responsibly and he will be fine. I think it is no big deal but, what does intrigue me is riding ATV's on California public property - - I can't imagine that neighbors or sunbathers are appreciating the ATVs on the beach. Of course, I also can't imagine how they got the ATVs down the 3.2 million steps to the beach... which makes me think they trailored them somewhere and then rode them around. Oh My God... I am thinking about this wayyy too much!!!

Everyone needs to chill out and let the kid and his father have a life. If I had a dime for every time I sat in the front seat of my parents Impala without a seat belt (couldn't even find them as easily as I could an old french frie from McDonalds) I'd be a multi-millionare.

My first thought when I saw these pics was that how lucky are they to have such fun! I was thinking how Maddox and their other children are going to enjoy life to it's fullest because of their parents and their wealth. My son unfortunately suffers becuz I can't afford to do much. Though we have found tons of things to do for free. We walk on the beach!

Brad rides a motorcycle all the time. Both he and Angelina are capable pilots. I'm sure they know how to supervise a kid on an ATV. Hell, I've seen three-year-olds who are already taking up motocross.

I don't think that's Maddox riding by himself. I think Mad is sitting on the ATV with Brad, and the kid riding is someone else's kid. Doesn't Gavin Rossdale have a kid from a previous relationship?

even if it IS Maddox, this doesn't strike me as particularly dangerous. It IS a kid sized ATV (and ones made for kids DO NOT go as fast as adult sized ones), he's got a helmet on, he's being supervised by 3 adults...

just FYI, those ATVs don't ALWAYS destroy the terrain. it does depend on the rider, and the way he/she rides. At the beach I go to (in NJ), ATVs are what the chief lifeguard uses to get up and down the beach to check on each guard stand. And that beach is in PRIME condition. They'll tear up the earth when you ride on dirt and grass, to be sure, but think of the ATV as a mini 4-wheel drive vehicle. They also tear up the earth (dirt, grass, etc...) but they don't do much to the sand.

Goodness, I am glad that I grew up when I did. Yes we got bumps and bruises but we had fun and enjoyed life. We ran we had kid fights but got over it the next day if not the next hour. Now everyone wants to regulate every minute of a kids life. If they play tag they say that the one who is it will suffer from low self esteem. I'm just tired of it all. Let families be families and if it isn't illegal or immoral STAY OUT OF IT

I don't see a problem with Maddox on an ATV....my daughter is 10 and has been on ATV's and dirtbikes since she was three. I'm sure (and from the looks of it) that Maddox is wearing protective gear...chest plate and helmut.
