Who knew such a piece of designer ware could cause such a stir? Everyone seems to have an opinion about this child sling. At the time of writing this article US Weekly had over 100 comments on the apparatus. How is this any different that Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton and Mischa Barton carrying their drop-kick dog in a Louis Vuitton carrier?

Chic says:
I think she has done nothing wrong, come one, she ahs worked hard to get the big dollars, so she can do whatever she wants with them. I think it´s better to spend it on your child than in a dog that you will forget you bought in a couple of days (you know, like Paris usually does). Besides, people would also criticize her if she appeared with a $35,00 child sling, they would say "OMG,it´s your baby, spend a couple of bucks more, you cheap".

What shallow freaks. So every celeb can have a diamond-encusted cell phone cover and mink eyelashes, no problem. But an expensive carrier for a precious lil baby -- no no, such a waste of money. She could've bought SHOES with that money!
Thaddeus van Worthingheimer says:
The users/commentators over at 'Us Weekly' must have a giant stick up their ass. It appears that some of them almost went into convulsions over Gwen Stefani spending $799 on her baby.
I don't see the problem. It's her money, she can spend it how she wants. Plus, I see nothing better to spend $800 on than something for your infant.

It's all fun and games until a newborn is toted around in a sling which costs more than the average person makes in a week... Butt out, people! She's worked for her money -- go harrass a blow dealer driving a stolen sportscar financed by selling coke to underaged-children.

I'm not bothered by the fact that the carrier was super expensive. It could have been a baby shower gift. What I AM bothered by is that it's so hideous.

I don't really give a crap... I'm just tired of seeing her with this baby every day new pics. *yawn*

I want to agree with badattitood it is an ugly carrier. I've never liked any of these items with logos r us... I'm surprised she's not using a L.A.M.B baby carrier.

I am not bothered by the price (for her, for me thats insane). The two things that bother me are: the ugly factor. and the fact that there are better carriers out there. Ones that are more comfortable and look a lot nicer, especilly for a celebrity. Doesnt her stylist know about Sakra Bloom or BabyHawk?
