Marc Jacobs ruled the runway. With Canon in D playing simplicity and a lighter version of last season collection made its debut in New York. Celebrities such as Lil' Kim, Victoria Beckham, and Sofia Coppola were a part of Marc's audience. The colors of the layered fabrics were white, grey, and black. Comfortable dresses, cardigans, and Zouave pants all flowed down the catwalk.
The new path the collection went down was a breath of fresh air. Previously, Marc's designs were gloomy and odd. The other designer's of the evening failed to make a good impression on everyone. Model Karolina Kurkova felt the lines were "Very 80's and very difficult to wear."
