Christie Brinkley made it official by serving her soon to be ex-husband Peter Cook with a summons. Cook's attorney confirmed that this is the first step in the divorce proceedings and now all that the supermodel needs to do is serve a complaint or for the parties to negotiate an amicable agreement. The couple, who wed in 1996, share an eight-year old daughter and a house in the Hamptons.
Brinkley decided to separate from Cook after discovering he was cheating on her with 18-year-old Diana Bianchi whom he hired to work in his Architecture firm. Apparently, Cook had hopes that he and Brinkley would work through their problems and that they could move on and he is devastated that she has decided to file for divorce. With good reason! I mean seriously, who cheats on Christie Brinkley?
Look Peter, you can't expect to cheat on your wife, humiliate her in public and then have the nerve to think she will forgive you for being an idiot. The woman has been married four times, and I am pretty sure she knows that when it's over, it's really over!
