While Dr. McSteamy has joined the cast of "Grey's Anatomy," I still think Dr. McDreamy is looking better than ever. We have "Grey's Anatomy" to thank for keeping Patrick Demsey in the acting game.
Us Weekly reports that Dempsey's path to playing the romantically conflicted brain surgeon was not easy. He was at one time considering becoming a professional home remodeler before his Grey's audition, "but he's made the word McDreamy part of the national lexicon." "Patrick has always been an incredibly down-to-earth, kind person," Debra Messing, his onetime Will & Grace costar, tells Us Weekly. "He has been around for a long time and has his head on his shoulders. I could not be more thrilled for him."
