Everyone knows that October is the month for Tricks and Treats. We start thinking about apple cider, pumpkin patches and have been on a football kick for the past five weeks (Let's go Colts!). Fall has officially arrived, so it's time to break out those great boots and your favorite chunky sweater. October is also nationally recognized at Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few great reasons why you should think pink this October, and some cosmetics companies are donating a portion of their proceeds to the cause. Here are some of my favorite products.
I love Clinique and have used their products for years, so I recommend Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick ($14; clinique.com). For every In the Pink shade Clinique sells, $10 goes directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon Compact ($45; esteelauder.com). This beautiful gold case adorned with a pink jeweled ribbon is not only charming, but $80,000 from its sale is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This next product is one of my absolute favorites, and I tried it out at the Sak's counter. Pink Bouquet Shimmer Lip Gloss by Bobbi Brown ($21, bobbibrowncosmetics.com). Covered in a mirrored, flip-top compact, this shimmering, limited-edition gloss is raising $35,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Finally I recommend Tommy Hilfiger's Tommy Girl 10 ($39.50 for 1.7 oz.). This is a blossoming, dewy exodus from the original classic Tommy Girl scent. Tommy Hilfiger Toiletries will donate $17,500 from sales to breast cancer charities. There are many more products you can purchase with part of the proceeds being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Fund. Help fight the battle and we can win against this terrible disease.
