The Red campaign the charity organization that helps to raise awareness for women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa is joining forces with the Gap. The Gap and the Red campaign have also received help from several celebrities including Penelope Cruz, former Alias star Jennifer Garner and Don Cheadle who will wear limited edition clothing in an advertising campaign with half of the proceeds going to the charity organization.
These celebrities will wear clothing, and accessories such as limited edition jeans, hoodies, t-shirts and accessories. The Red Campaign was co-founded by U2's Bono also the founder of the ONE campaign which promotes that ONE by ONE people - can fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. Oscar nominated, and "Crash" star Don Cheadle says that "People can wear the clothes and know that they are actually doing something for the world. It's a great way to merge fashion and activism." Recently Scarlett Johansson lent her hand to the Red campaign and criticized that some celebrities support a cause or a charity to promote their careers.
