In honor of last night's "Project Runway" finale, we will delve into the world of Michael Kors today.
His catty comments on "Project Runway" won over my heart as well as the rest of America. His three seasons as a judge on Bravo's hit is actually making a name for himself. His signature disgusted look , of a frown and his nose in the air as if someone just farted, at the site of some of the creations made me favor his opinion. The question now rests in his own talents as the show has come to a close this season. Can Michael make it into the big leagues of sportswear with designers like Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs already a household name?
The Kors design machine has been in business for 25 years, but his celebrity has grown over the past few years. He can thank Heidi Klum for help with that. It is easy to fall in the design world. Look at Isaac Mizrahi for instance. The man once had collections waltzing down the catwalk of New York Fashion Week. Now he works for target designing everything from sports bras to bedding.
Sportswear seems to be his forte. And many of his competitors are taking different paths lately it seems to be limiting what is really out there. Calvin Klein and Donna Karan have taken much different paths straying from the traditional coordinating pants, jackets, and shirts. Kors might corner the market easily.
Either way I hope he will always be his bitchy yet loveable self.....just to keep things interesting.

Are you kidding me? Michael Kor's has been a big name in fashion for quite a while now..maybe not to everyone in suburbia or featured at Macy's or Hecht's, but anyone who has any interest in fashion has been aware of Michael Kor's for some time now. Definately before project runway came about.
