Knight of the Realm sounds very "Dungeons and Dragons" but David Beckham is about to become a Lord. Prime minister Tony Blair has David on his list of 2007 honors. Meaning the Becks will turn into Lord and Lady Beckham. Hello Magazine reports:
Whitehall sources say the prime minister, who is due to step down next year, is anxious to be seen as a populist leader. And there can be little doubt that the Beckhams are among Britain's best-loved and most respected public figures. The Real Madrid star has, in the words of one insider, "become the enduring sporting icon of this generation", while his wife is known as the UK's most fashionable celeb.Sure...why not! Lady Posh flows very well.
