Fashion Fix: 'At least I didn't bring Lycra back.'

I know, I know...the "Bringing insert-object-here back" jokes are beyond old. However, I am quoting Justin directly. His runway show finally took flight as he joined the ranks of celebrity designers such as Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. His aim for the collection was "Street Sexy." His partner and friend in crime, Trace Ayala, convinced Justin to create the line over a year ago, and then the label "William Rast" was born. Timberlake kept his name off the label and credited the name to two of Justin and Mr. Ayala's grandfathers.

I am surprised his style has morphed into a clothing line after sporting a stone-washed matching denim suit to a hideous denim gown worn by former lover Britney Cheetos Spears. Learning from his mistakes, Timberlake explains:

"My style changes like the seasons. I've grown up in the business, and I've had the double-edged sword of having everyone see my odd years. You can document them on the red carpet, and they are absolutely hysterical. I look back at some of the things I wore when I was 17 and I wonder, what was I thinking? Obviously, I was 17."
Before his runway debut on October 17th, his star studded buddies walked down a black astroturf carpet. Supporters like Eve, Wilmer Valderrama, Michelle Trachtenberg, Paris and Nicky Hilton, and Mr. Timberlake's former boy-band buddies Lance Bass and JC Chasez. Of course, Cameron Tater-Tots Diaz was there in her William Rast jeans.

The looks were somewhat retro as models waltzed down the runway in short denim skirts and men in ultraskinny jeans with cuffs that rolled back to midcalf. I am biased, but I really hate the skinny jean trend especially on men. The last thing I want to see when I go out into the world is some 8th graders kibble-n-bits tucked into some too tight denim. Nothing in the show was ground breaking or very inventive with an overflow of a few short prairie dresses, retro plaid sports jacket over slim khaki pants, and mullets abound. To put the icing on the cake the "B-boys" had some weird dance- off in a "Zoolander" style and ended the show in a Prince number.

Uh-huh as opposed to the "Poindexter" Revenge Of The Nerds thing you have going on now? That or a the college professor who had the bad pubic-beard and coffee/cigarette breath thing? Yeah, you know what I'm talkin' about!
