Whitney Houston Was the Belle of the Hope Ball

While the Carousel of Hope Ball honored Clive Davis and Quincy Jones, the star of the evening was a radiant Whitney Houston. She arrived on the arm of Clive Davis looking healthy and composed in one of her first public appearances since separating from husband Bobby Brown amid allegations of serious drug abuse. At the ceremony, Davis said he and Houston were working on her long-awaited comeback album.

Everyone seemed as if they wanted to get a little piece of Whitney. Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Rita Wilson, Usher, and "Dreamgirls" star Jennifer Hudson all got a little face time with the R&B legend. Jennifer Hudson meeting seemed to be extra special - she was probably meeting her idol for the first time (those photos are after the jump).
