Spears filed legal papers today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights. As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Sept. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees. Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events."Finally. Sounds like along with losing her post-baby weight, she's also going to be cutting off some excess blubber that frankly should have been removed a long time ago. Can I get a Halleluah from all y'all in the back?

Wow! Total shocker there. I definitely thought this marriage would last forever. I mean, look at the great decisions these two have made together:
He cheats on pregnant girlfriend and Baby Mama to be with the reigning pop queen.
Britney pops the question on an airplane after only knowing Kevin for a few months.
They marry at a surprise wedding thrown together last minute at a friends house where they serve chicken fingers and the groomsmen wear track suits that say "Pimp" on the back....oh, and K-Fed was wearing a ponytail.

Theirs is a classic case of lust being misinterpreted as love. He gave it to her good, so good that she ignored her family, friends, and fans' advice and actually married the piece of shit.
Thank God she came to her senses. I know she'll come out of this smelling like roses after this whole debauchle (sp). Never was a real big fan of Britney, but this whole thing has made her more human to me.
Let's all hope that K-Fed does the right thing and doesn't push his scumbag ways on those precious little boys, Sean and Jayden.

I can't believe it. I thought it would last longer, at least 5 years. I thought she was copying Whitney with Bobby. But I think Whitney inspired her to leave Kevin. IE. Kevin will never change and it is sad that he will and did treat their children together like crap.
