Are you all really that naive to believe that Heath got into the pharmaceuticals for the first (and last) time at the place where he was found dead?
It has been reported again and again that he had issues with insomnia. God only knows why he needed oxycodone/hydrocodone to sleep...they would give a rhino a restful nights sleep.
Maybe the ghost of Dr Nick (Elvis's trusted (?) medico) visited Heath one night and bestowed some of his trusty drugs on the fallen one???Out with the Tuinal, Seconal. In with the Alprazolam....
Or maybe he got the prescription meds online, took one or two and because of the retrograde and anterograde amnesiac side effects of drugs such as the benzo's, forgot that he had taken the first dose(s), so he took another one or two. Maybe with an Oxy this time washed down with some whisky.....so so common and so so sad.
We seem to have this collective notion that if it is "legal" and not "illicit" and it comes from a trusted Doctor, it isn't going to kill us....surely not.
RIP Heath. I would like to think so but something tells me your memory at least will be nagged to death. Pun NOT intended.
