The American socialite spent just one night at the London hotel in Park Lane before moving on to the trendier St Martin's Lane Hotel in Covent Garden. Paris, whose great-grandfather Conrad Hilton founded the hotel chain in 1919, left on her own at 11pm last night with three suitcases and bags of shopping. One onlooker said: "She just walked by and didn't say a word. The doorman said that she only ever stays one night when she is by herself."
I hear it's not at all uncommon to find oneself only limiting one's time at the Hilton to move on to other venues immediately afterward. Especially if you're a Greek shipping heir. Or any kind of heir, really.
