This Thanksgiving, Brad Pitt's parents will be spending the holiday with his ex-wife in Malibu and apparently, Angie's not too happy about it.
Despite no longer being connected to the Pitt clan through marriage, Aniston still has warm and fuzzy feelings for her ex's parents, Jane and Bill Pitt. She invited her former in-laws to celebrate Thursday's U.S. holiday at her new, six-bedroom Beverly Hills pad. A source close to Jolie tells Britain's Star magazine, "She is distraught that the woman who is practically her mother-in-law is continuing to mix with Brad's ex-wife." A source close to Aniston claims she merely stepped up after Pitt's parents traveled to Malibu to see their son, not realizing he wouldn't be coming home from India for Thanksgiving. "Jen was just coming to Brad's rescue," the source tells the magazine. "His folks bought the tickets ages ago. Jennifer thought she was doing good, but apparently it's whipped up a hornet's nest with Angelina."Angelina seems to be forgetting what this holiday is about. It's not about fretting over the particulars of who's spending Thanksgiving where and whether or not it's some kind of power play. It's about eating until you're nearly comatose, football, and watching your sister get progressively more drunk as she prepares to tell your parents she's secretly become engaged to the boyfriend they not-so-secretly hate. Right?

Assuming this is true -- I totally "get" why Brad's parents prefer Jennifer (and I think Angelina's the shit), but it is still kind of a dick move on their part (parents as much as Jen) to opt to spend time with their ex-daughter-in-law, rather than their grandchildren and son. Sure, everyone should just suck it up and move on - but how could either Brad or Angelina NOT feel slighted. My fiancé's mother is doing something similar this year (because she's mad he flew with me to see my parents), and although I truly do not care if she likes me or not -- I mean, I have the ring, it's hard not to take offense at such blatant disrespect.
