Mwilliamsbaby

Celebrity Baby Blog (no, really) reports on Michelle Williams and her new baby.

Michelle Williams's career is on a roll. The actress we all knew as Jen on Dawson's Creek has one movie after another coming out in 2007 (The Hawk is Dying with Paul Giamatti, Ethan Hawke's The Hottest State, the Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There) but it's clear that what she values most is being a mom to 1 year old daughter, Matilda Ledger, with fiance Heath Ledger.

She adds, " I think about it when I go out with my friends for a night and, you know, 10 or 11 o'clock rolls around, and I look around the table and think, 'Wow, I'm the only person here who has a kid, I'm the only person who has to go home now to get up by six to function for the rest of the day. "

She also said, "I feel like maybe having kids young is going to come back in vogue."

Wow, so she's basically endorsing teen pregnancy. Way to send a message, Michelle. I hope they open an abortion clinic right beside your multimillion dollar Brooklyn brownstone. Ass.

Also, they made Ethan Hawke's shitty novel into a movie? Egads. I tried reading it years ago, put it down, went for a drive and hurled my Reality Bites DVD out of my moving car in revenge for the five minutes I lost trying to decipher his bullshit.

ADDENDUM -

Hello. This is J.Harvey speaking. For those of you not in the know, here is something to consider:

A Socialite's Life = vast amounts of sarcasm

This message is in relation to the comments about this post:

J. Harvey Makes Incredibly Sarcastic Comments About Michelle Williams And Her Baby - Including That She Is Supporting Teen Pregnany And Her Love Of Parenthood Will Lead To Many Abortions [A Socialite's Life]

As my co-editor Lisa Timmons recently posted out, this website is not CNN. It's a gossip/entertainment/humor website where we snark on celebrities. Please, take the things we write after the block type with a grain of salt.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Huh? That is not waht she is saying at all. She is in her early 20's and is referring to women having babies in their early 20's. How did you make that leap? Bit of an over-reaction, don't you think???

Um . . . . a 26 year year old woman (who had her child at 25) said that she thinks having children younger will come back in vogue. How did you make the jump from that to thinking she's advocating teen pregnancy?

Geesh . . . she's talking about the recent trend of women waiting until our 30's and even 40's, because we put career first . . . and saying that women may now be feeling o.k. to go ahead and have their children in their 20's again like our mothers did.

Her statement in no way makes her an ass.
Yours on the other hand . . .

Million-dollar brownstone? Have you seen it? They own a non-descript building on a mediocre street a few blocks from the projects. Sure, it's probably worth a few million, but what isn't in New York? Yeesh. Add in the "pro-teenage pregnancy" conclusion and you're really reaching here. Leave her alone.

Are you completely retarded? "having kids young" /= teen pregnancy. There's nothing wrong with a woman in her early twenties deciding to have a child. And nowadays with women waiting until their forties to have kids, early twenties certainly qualifies as "young."

yeah, your teen pregnancy comment was totally wrong...it should have been *unmarried* teen pregnancy.
