You'd struggle to find a critic who doesn't love Yo La Tengo. While bands earning critical praise usually create insufferable crap, Yo La Tengo escaped the trap; the New Jersey band is sweet and lovable. Velvet Underground fans might hear some Lou Reed in Yo La Tengo's best single, "Sugarcube."
